DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The family of a missing woman found dead is trying to come to terms with the tragic events over the past 24 hours.
Amber Owens’ body was found along a rural road in Trotwood Thursday afternoon after she went missing in October.
Her grandmother spoke with 2 NEWS Friday afternoon after the coroner confirmed that remains were those of Owens.
“We are also trying to alleviate the stress brought on by these traumatic events, first missing, now found dead in a roadside field. We are numb,” said Bette Ann Roebuck, grandmother.
Roebuck says the family must now take care of three small children who lost their mother. They are currently in the custody of their aunts.
