Teen dating violence is real, are you willing to be the voice?


INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Teen dating violence is all too common in Indiana. Research shows 1 in 5 teen girls reports being physically or sexually abused by the person they’re dating, according to the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

Lindsay Hill, 27, is working to stop domestic violence in Central Indiana.

“I want to prevent teen dating abuse,” says Hill.

In April 2007, Hill’s friend Heather Norris, 20, was killed by her boyfriend Joshua Bean. Bean confessed to stabbing Norris to death in his home, then burning and cutting up her body, and placing pieces of her remains in garbage bins across the south side of Indianapolis. No piece of Heather has ever been found. Bean is now serving a 68 year prison sentence for murder and abuse of a corpse.
