Act Like Human Think Like A Donkey…

Good day, I’m not one who has to always have animals BUT I believe they all teach us lessons. Lets look at the Donkey, God used one in the Old Testament and according to this story sounds like the donkey prevailed again.

In the book of Numbers God used a donkey when Baalam had NO idea.

The donkey saw the Angel of the Lord standing in the way with his sword drawn in his hand, and the donkey turned out of the way and went into the field. And Balaam struck the donkey to turn him into the way. (Numbers 22:23 AMP) please read whole chapter for yourself!

The donkey protected him the whole ride while Balaam abused his protection. He would hit the donkey when he went the wrong way. How many times have we abused the very thing or person God sent to protect us from danger. Honestly I don’t have enough body parts to count.

A few years ago a farmers donkey wondered into a hole. The donkey was crying out for help. The farmer came, confused about how to get the donkey out of the hole. The farmer thought and after thinking of the age of the donkey he was ready to let the donkey die. He started throwing dirt on the donkey.

Not only the farmer his friends came with shovels to help. The donkey looking up death in face had a plan that would shock all of them. As they each threw dirt on him he would shake a move using each pile as a stepping tool. Eventually they placed enough dirt in the hole the donkey was at the top and free!

I shared both of these stories for two reasons the first taught us to ask for wisdom about who God has sent to protect us. The next taught us NO matter how much dirt is thrown on us, NO matter how many people want to destroy us and NO matter how far in the valley God always makes a way of escape.

Today think about the things going on around you. What has you down? What areas do you feel defeated in? Are you going to allow a donkey to have more faith than you?

Today I want to leave this verse with you;
Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear and worship the Lord and turn [entirely] away from evil. (Proverbs 3:5-7 AMP)

Learn to trust more in God than your flesh in ALL areas! I want to challenge you to quote what you believe God for. Proverbs tells us life and death are in the power of the tongue!

Much Love,
Special K 🙂

XXXXXXX “hugs”
